Developed for the speed and intensity of modern gravity riding, the all-new Maxxis Minion DHX delivers the support, control and predictable grip required on fast, demanding downhill and enduro terrain.
Its next-generation tread pattern features reinforced shoulder knobs that resist folding under heavy cornering loads, providing greater stability when carving berms and committing to high-speed lines. Shallow siping allows the tread blocks to conform to the trail for strong mechanical grip, while the carefully arranged tread provides a smooth, predictable transition from the centre knobs to the shoulders.
Maxxis designed the Minion DHX to deliver rolling speed and braking performance comparable to the proven Minion DHR II, while increasing cornering support and precision. Although developed primarily as a dry-condition gravity tyre, its adaptable tread pattern provides dependable performance across a broad range of trail conditions.
Suitable for installation on either the front or rear wheel, the Minion DHX is equally at home on downhill race tracks, bike-park laps, aggressive enduro trails and long-travel e-MTBs. Different sizes, rubber compounds and casing configurations allow riders to select the appropriate balance of grip, rolling performance, durability and impact protection for their bike and riding conditions.
Available versions may include Maxxis 3C MaxxGrip or MaxxTerra rubber compounds. MaxxGrip prioritises maximum traction and damping for downhill racing and demanding terrain, while MaxxTerra provides a more balanced combination of grip, rolling efficiency and tread life for mixed conditions.
Depending on the selected variant, reinforced casing options provide additional puncture resistance, sidewall support and rim protection for aggressive gravity riding. Tubeless Ready construction also allows compatible tubeless installation and lower operating pressures for improved traction and reduced risk of pinch flats.
