For racing in muddy conditions. Patented twisted tread blocks to help clear mud. On mixed and muddy terrain, Enduro or DH riders often need to cut their blocks to improve grip and steering precision. MICHELIN responded by designing and patenting a new generation of tread which makes it easier to cut the blocks and ensure consistency, saving a lot of time.
More grip: Maximum grip provided by the tall blocks which dig into the muddiest ground and the Gum-X rubber compound. The “Twisted” tread (twisted blocks for mud-clearing and self-cleaning) ensures excellent traction and braking.
26 x 2.0 - 590g
27.5 x 2.0 Gum-X - 610g
29 x 2.0 Gum-X - 640g
27.5 x 2.0 Magi-X - 630g
29 x 2.25 Magi-X - 650g
All of MICHELIN’s experience has gone into defining these latest mixes, allowing mountain bikers to obtain the optimal performance compromise between grip, efficiency and wear. Compound are produced in varying levels of shore hardness the lower the index value, the greater the gum softness; conversely, as the index value rises, the gum becomes harder.
BI-COMPOUND: Series of rubbers specically designed for Enduro use, which offer outstanding grip.
BI-COMPOUND: Magi-X: Developed and used in the Enduro World Series competition, these especially high-performance compounds offer exceptional grip when cornering and braking in the most demanding conditions.
